Beautiful Tom Daley; it’s COLD on the island tonight …. :-(

Hi, friends and readers:

I think British Olympic diver, Tom Daley, who you see here to the left, is a gorgeous young man, but I don’t just like him for his looks. He’s a real hero to me because he came out as an openly gay man via YouTube, knowing his announcement would generate a lot of criticism. It did, but Tom handled the situation with grace and humor, and then he went back to the Olympics and won another medal. Good for you Tom, you’re the greatest, and I’d certainly pick you up if I came upon you hitchhiking. ๐Ÿ™‚

Today has been a fine one for me. I rose at eight AM, and after brewing coffee and enjoying a quick breakfast, I put in two solid hours at the keyboard, writing some very dramatic scenes for my novel-in-progress. I took a three-mile walk, here on the island, just before lunch. Then, right after lunch, I drove into the city to visit the YMCA for a full workout and a super-good lap swimming session. The pool water was warm and I was the only person swimming for a good part of the time I was there.

After I showered and left the YMCA, I visited Home Depot, where I bought a Fraser Fir Christmas tree I will decorate this weekend, and also a nice poinsettia plant for my fireplace mantel. My Christmas spirit has kicked in. ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m home now. The poinsettia’s in place and my tree is sitting in a bucket of water on my patio to keep it fresh. By the time I got my car unloaded, darkness was falling and so was the temperature. It’s going down to 50 degrees F tonight here, and a steady wind is making it feel much colder. I’m meeting a friend for dinner at our favorite Italian place, where we will share a nice bottle of half-price wine with our meal. I’m looking forward to it, as always.

Have a nice Wednesday night, friends. And stay warm …. ๐Ÿ™‚

Sexy boy in a beanie; chilly night on the island ….

Hi, friends and readers:

You don’t see many guys wearing beanies in Florida because it never gets that cold here very often. But tonight a beanie would come in very handy for anyone who has to work outdoors.

Outside, the sun is going down and the temperature is plunging toward the low 50’s. What’s worse, the wind is blowing out of the northwest at 20-25 MPH, which makes it feel even colder. It sure would be nice if I could curl up on the sofa with the boy in tonight’s photo post. We could snuggle and watch TV and keep each other warm and cozy. M-m-m-m …. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Well, my dentist installed my new crown this afternoon and it looks and feels great. Afterward, I got my hair cut, and then I picked up fresh grouper at our island’s seafood market for tonight’s dinner. It’ll be yummy. ๐Ÿ™‚

Have a nice Tuesday evening, friends. And stay warm.

Two beautiful actors: Ross Lynch and Ryan Phillippe; chilly day on the island ….

Hi, friends and readers:

I’m not a “starstruck” kind of guy, most actors on TV or in film don’t get my attention. But I find the young men in today’s photo posts very appealing.

The guy in the upper photo is Ross Lynch, who used to perform on the Disney Channel. I’ve actually never watched the how he was in, but now he’s all grown up and looking very sexy: great hair and skin, and nice athletic build. Definitely boyfriend material. I wonder what he’s up to today?

It’s a chilly and blustery day, here on the island. A cold front swept into central Florida last night, bringing some rain. After I finished writing this morning, and right around 11:30 AM, I took a three-mile walk, here on the island. I had to stick to the alleys while walking northward, to avoid facing the wind.

Okay, our second guy is movie actor Ryan Phillippe, as he looked at age eighteen. He was unbelievably pretty back then, and I’ll bet a lot of gay guys lusted for him while working alongside him in films. Now he’s around 35 years old, and not so pretty anymore, but he still looks good.

In just a few minutes, I will climb into my Element and drive into town to my dentist’s office, where he will install a new crown on one of my molars. The old one cracked after many years of service, so there goes another thousand dollars. ๐Ÿ™ Oh well, you have to take care of your teeth, right?

I have little planned for the rest of my Tuesday, as my friend who I usually spend Tues evenings with is feeling ill and needs to stay home and rest. It’s okay, I’ll watch a Netflix movie and make myself a nice seafood dinner.

Have great Tuesday, friends.

One more favorite black-and-white photo; trip to gym a success ….

Hi, friends and readers:

The handsome guy you see to the left here is a model named Victor LeClerc. I assume he’s either French or perhaps he’s from Quebec, but whatever. I think he’s beautiful: great hair and skin, tall and lean with just the right amount of muscle. Definitely boyfriend material …. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Well, my visit to the YMCA today–my first in three weeks–was a great success. My left hand didn’t hurt at all and I was able to use the usual amount of weight in all of my exercises, no problem. I didn’t get to swim laps because the pool was too crowded, but that was no big deal. It sure felt good to get my muscles pumping again. ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m about to share a bottle of wine with my neighbors, so I must run. Have a great Monday night, friends.

Beautiful guys in black-and-white; Martin’s going back to the gym today ….

Hi, friends and readers:

You guys know how much I liked quality black-and-white photography, and this morning I’m putting up two of my all-time favorite b & w photos. I especially like the one to the left here, and not only because the young man’s beautiful, but because of the way the photographer caught the way water was flying off the young man’s head, and also because of the grin on the model’s handsome face. Superb …. ๐Ÿ™‚

I went to bed rather early last night. I read a book for a while before my eyes grew drowsy, and then I killed the lights. I woke up this morning around 7:30, and got myself out of bed. I shaved and made my bed, and got myself dressed. I brewed coffee and made breakfast, then got busy at the keyboard writing fresh material for my novel-in-progress.

Now it’s around 10:30, and I am done writing for the day. Outside it’s warm and humid, as an approaching cold front is sucking up pressure from the south. A fairly stiff breeze is blowing from the southeast, and right after I finish this post, I will take a three-mile walk, here on the island, for some exercise.

Three weeks ago, I had a medical procedure performed on my left hand that left it swollen and sore. As a result, I have not goner to the gym since. Instead, I have done a lot of walking for exercise. But this afternoon, after I have lunch, I will visit the YMCA for a workout and lap-swimming. It’ going to feel good to get back into my exercise regimen, and to see all my friends I enjoy talking with whenever I’m working out. I’ll have to take it easy on my hand, of course, but I am sure I’ll be fine.

Have a nice Monday, friends, wherever you might be today. ๐Ÿ™‚

Sexy in the locker room. A-h-h, the good old days ….

Hi, friends and readers:

I can remember my first day in the PE locker room in middle school. I grew up in a single parent home with my mom and sister. Suddenly, I was plunged into a room of naked boys, some of them three or four years older than me.ย I felt like a starving man who’d wandered into a banquet hall; I couldn’t keep my gaze off the ninth-graders’ bodies. I guess that was when I knew I was…different. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Well, it has been a few years since middle school. (Many years.) But I still recall some of those guys vividly, and the boy to the left of me reminds me of a few. How I wished I could have ran my tongue over their smooth flesh and rippling muscles.

I’m home tonight, after a productive day. I thoroughly cleaned my Element, inside and out. I took a three-mile walk on the beach and did some yard work. My place looks great and so does my car. Now all I need is that guy in the locker room. ๐Ÿ™‚

Have a nice Sunday night, friends.

In praise of slender guys; another perfect day on the island ….

Hi, friends and readers:

I know most gay men have a thing for guys with rippling muscles, and I get that. Beef is sexy. But I also find slender young men to be awfully sexy in their own way. When I was in my late teens and early twenties I was skinny as a rail, and I never thought I looked particularly attractive because I lacked much muscle on my frame. But now I look at photos of myself back then and realize I looked pretty sexy. I guess we all want what we don’t have, right? It’s human nature.

I was up at nine this morning, and after a quick breakfast, I took a cup of coffee to my office and got to work writing fresh material for my novel-in-progress. I wrote for a couple of hours, then I read the Sunday newspaper, which had some interesting articles in it. At least all the election hoopla in Florida has died down.

It’s another beautiful fall day, here on the island. The sun is shining, our high temperature will reach 73 degrees, and there’s no wind blowing, just a perfect Sunday for outdoor activities. After lunch, I will taker a three-mile walk on the beach for some exercise. I need to wash my car inside and out because, at this time of year, flocks of northern birds manage to crap on it no matter where I park. I have a little yard work to perform, and some correspondence to take care of, so my day will be busy.

I spent my late afternoon and early evening yesterday with an old friend. He had recorded the Florida/FSU football game (which started at noon) so we could watch it later in the day. The game was great from my perspective because the Gators romped, and will likely go to a major bowl game. It’s a far cry from, last year’s lousy season, and the first time the Gators have beaten FSU in five years.

All right, everyone, I need to get going, so I will close this post by wishing all of you a very happy Sunday, wherever you might be today. And keep smiling, it’s important. ๐Ÿ™‚

Hot boys and their cameras; another beautiful day on the island ….

Hi, friends and readers:

I know bathroom selfies are kind of boring, but some of these guys are just so cute I can’t resist sharing their photos with all of you. I mean, I know the boy to the left here is a bit on the skinny side, but he’sย soย adorable. I wonder where he lives and what his name is? I’m guessing he’s…Skyler from Denver, CO. His passions are downhill snow-skiing and playing the cello. He’s never had sex, but he has his eye on a boy who plays second chair violin in the school orchestra.ย  Go for it, Skyler …. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I slept in late again today, I don’t know why, but now it’s eleven AM and I’m angry with myself for not getting up earlier because it’s an absolutely beautiful day outside: sunny, about 75 degrees F, and just a little breezy. I’m so glad I decided against driving to the east coast to surf, because it is just too pretty here to go someplace else. I mean, this is the weather we live for in central Florida, and I’m going to make the most of it.

Now, have a look at Mr. Boxer Briefs to the left here. Who could pass up a date withย him? Not me …. ๐Ÿ™‚

I actually have a plan for the rest of my day. Right after lunch, I will make a run to the wine market and then the supermarket. After I return home I will take a three-mile walk on the beach. I have a few household chores to take care of, and then around 3:30 PM I will drive into the city to watch the Florida Gators play FSU in their annual football contest. The game’s actually at noon, but my friend’s recording it. I like to drink beer while watching football, and I don’t like drinking alcohol early in the day. After the game, we’ll get some takeout for dinner. Then I will drive home and watch the Michigan/Ohio State game, which should be interesting. It also looks like I might have a date later this evening, which would trump the Michigan game in a heartbeat. ๐Ÿ˜‰

All right, friends, I need to get busy, so I will wish all of you and wonderful Saturday, wherever yo might be. And keep smiling, it’s important. ๐Ÿ™‚

Hot boys in the kitchen; gorgeous day on the island ….

Hi, friends and readers:

Have a look at the photo to the left, then ask yourself, “How would I feel if I walked into my kitchen and found this guy pouring himself a glass of juice? And what would I say to him?”

U-m-m, I wouldn’t sayย anything, Id just wrap my arms around his waist form behind, and give him a big smooch on his neck. Then I’d drag him into the bedroom for a nice long session on the mattress. Hey, he’s already naked, so why not? And maybe I’d ask him toย stayย naked for the rest of the day. Wouldn’t that be fun?

Well, I had a very nice Thanksgiving over at my friend’s home. The weather was really nice and he had a blaze going in his fire pit when I arrived around 5:30 PM. I brought a casserole and garlic bread, and he provided a wonderful salad garnished with feta cheese and pine nuts. We drank a couple of beers and then I opened a bottle of wine while I heated up the casserole in the oven. We dined around 7:30 and everything was delicious. So, despite the fact it was just the two of us, we had a very special evening.

By the way, don’t you think the boy to the left here is cute as can be? I love his dinosaur undies and the bandage on his right calf. I wonder what happened to his leg? (Maybe his boyfriend bit him.)

I slept in late today, and now I have just finished having a light lunch. The weather outside is absolutely gorgeous: sunny, about 75 degrees F, and only a light breeze. After I finish this post, I will climb into my swimsuit and a t-shirt, and then I’ll take a three-mile walk on the shore, for a little exercise. I’ll take a run around four PM, and then I’ll watch the UCF/USF football game.

Have a nice Friday, everyone.

Happy Thanksgiving, my friends ….

Hi, friends and readers:

Sometimes we get so caught up in our problems (real or perceived) that we fail to appreciate all the blessings life bestows upon us, and that’s a shame.

One thing I like about Thanksgiving is it gives us a day to focus on all the positives in our lives. Things like good health, friendships, family, and living in peace.

In my case, I could not ask much more from life. I have everything a guy could want. (Okay, I don’t have a boyfriend right now, but I’m working on that.) I’m so lucky in so many respects, so you won’t hear any complaints from me. ๐Ÿ™‚

Last night, after drinking a couple of beers on my observation deck, I descended to my patio to construct a blaze in my fire pit. The evening was beautiful: clear sky, minimal wind, and a temperature around 65 degrees F.

While sitting by the fire, I had nice phone conversations with my sister (my only sibling) and one of my former German exchange students who I spent ten days with this summer, touring northern Italy. The conversations by the fire pit made me realize how lucky I am to have people in my life who care about me. This morning, I sent text messages to all the people in my life who are important to me, to let them know how much I appreciate their love and friendship. I’ve already heard back from most all of them, and that alone has made my Thanksgiving special.

Okay, most people think an ideal Thanksgiving involves gathering with a whole bunch of family members around a table loaded with turkey, side dishes and apple pie. But that’s not how I am celebrating this year, as I am single and don’t have any family nearby. Most of my neighbors are out of town, visiting relatives, so it’s kind of quiet here today. But this afternoon I am preparing one of my favorite casseroles, along with a batch of garlic bread. I will drive into the city to spend the evening with one of my oldest and closest friends who hasย no family. He’s making a nice salad and preparing a blaze in his fire pit, and we will enjoy a fine Thanksgiving dinner together. Honestly, I can’t think of a better way to celebrate the holiday.

Happy Thanksgiving, friends.
