Beautiful Gavin Casalegno; sunny and cool on the island today ….

Hi, friends and readers:

The guy you see in today’s photo posts is named Gavin Casalegno. I don’t know the first thing about him, but I presume he’s either an actor or a fashion model. In any case, I think he’s one of the hottest young men I’ve seen in a long while, maybe even sexier than Francisco Lachowski, 😉

I spent a very pleasant couple of hours sharing drinks and seafood dinners with three good friends. We had some laughs and shared stories of our recent activities, and the time just flew by. I came home and lit my fireplace. Then I spent a little time in my easy chair, enjoying my Christmas tree and decorations.

I rose at nine this morning, and after a quick breakfast I spent a couple of hours writing new material for my novel-in-progress. One of my main characters contracts a disease called Hodgkin’s lymphoma, a type of cancer mostly seen in young adults. I’m at the point in the book where he undergoes chemotherapy and radiation treatment, and it’s tough stuff to write about, but necessary. I’ve done all my research to be sure I get things right, so I am ready.

Outside it’s sunny and fairly still, but the temperature’s in the mid-50’s, which is pretty darned chilly for central Florida. After lunch, I plan to take a three-mile walk, here on the island, and then, if the wind’s not blowing too hard, I’ll take a two-mile run around four PM. Since today is Thursday, I will spend my evening in the city with my oldest friend, We’ll drink a few beers and order takeout for our dinner, always fun.

Have a nice Thursday, friends.

“Boy Erased” is a film you should see; chilly night on the island ….

Hi, friends and readers:

Last night a good friend and I had a quick dinner of tasty tacos, then we visited a theater to watch the film, Boy Erased.

I can’t say enough good things about the film. It’s a compelling story about a religious Christian family who forces their college freshman-aged son into gay-to-straight conversion therapy. The son, Jared, is played by Lucas Hedges, who is the boy in the top photo here. He did a great job in his role and was quite convincing.

In one pretty shocking scene, Jared has his first gay sexual experience when he’s anally raped by his college buddy, Henry, a closeted Evangelical Christian played by British actor Joe Alwyn, who you see to the left here. (And the scene is not the least bit sexy, so don’t expect it to be.)

Anyway, the film’s beautifully acted and the script’s compelling. And by the way, the screenplay is based on a true-life experience, which makes it even more powerful. The story, I believe, is set in the mid-1990’s. I recommend you see it.

I’ve had a good day so far. I had to drive to Tampa this morning for an appointment, through the usual thick traffic. I returned to my island for lunch, then drove into the city again to visit the YMCA for a good workout and lap-swimming session. Now I am home and ready for a  relaxing, but chilly evening, as it’s going down below 50 degrees F tonight.

I’m going out to dinner with three friends to celebrate one guy’s birthday. It should be fun. Have a nice Wednesday evening, friends.

One more guy at a swimming pool; cool weather’s moving into central Florida ….

Hi, friends and readers:

I know you guys liked the “swimming pool” photos I posted this morning, so I thought I’d put up one more of my favorites. The young man to the left has an amazing body, just perfect for modeling a Speedo-style suit. Notice how his shoulders are broad, and his legs are muscled, but he’s narrow in the hips and his butt is rounded and compact. His waist is tiny, too. Simply amazing …. 😉

I’ve had a really good afternoon. After my three-mile walk, I ate lunch, some tasty turkey soup my neighbor gave me. Then I got busy on a list of chores: doing a load of laundry, watering all my house plants, using a leaf-blower to clean up my patios, cleaning my bathrooms, and adjusting the stays on my front door blind so it doesn’t bang around when I open or close the door. (God, my life’s exciting …)

Now it’s all done and I am ready for a nice dinner and a meaningful movie about a young man whose parents force him into gay-to-straight conversion facility. I’ll let you know if I liked it or not.

Have a nice Tuesday night, friends.

Hot guys and swimming pools; gloomy morning on the island ….

Hi, friends and readers:

I have a timeshare unit in a condo down the street, less than a three-minute drive from my house. The facility has a wonderful swimming pool, hot tub and sauna, all of the sparkling clean, and available for my use all year round.

Last night, my friend and neighbor visited the facility to soak in the hot tub and then do a bit of sweating in the sauna. It all felt great, and made me realize how lucky I am to live in this beautiful place. (Now, if only the guy to the left here would have joined us in the hot tub, my evening would have been complete.) 😉

I was up quite early this morning, and after breakfast, I sat down at the keyboard and banged out new material for my novel-in-progress, now at 65,000 words and nowhere near finished. I wrote for 2-1/2 hours and the stuff was pretty good, I think.

Now it’s 11:30 AM, and I am done writing for the day. Outside, conditions are overcast and foggy, so it’s kind of a gloomy atmosphere. A cold front is approaching central Florida and temperatures are supposed to plunge early Wednesday morning.

I just a few minutes, I plan to take a three-mile walk for some exercise, here on the island. Then Ill make a quick lunch for myself. I plan to take a two-mile run around four PM this afternoon. Then, this evening, a friend and I will dine out before seeing the film Boy Erased at a cineplex in downtown St. Petersburg. It should be a nice evening, so I am stoked.

All right, everyone, I need to put on my walking shoes and shorts, so I will close this post by wishing each of you a happy Tuesday, wherever you might be today. And keep smiling, it’s important. 🙂

Guys with sexy lips; typical Monday for Martin ….

Hi, friends and readers:

Sometimes I am out in a crowd of people (like yesterday’s NFL game in Tampa) and I will encounter a young man with amazing lips, the kind that make me think to myself, “Imagine kissing him.” I mean, imagine locking lips with the guy to the left here. You could run your fingers through his shaggy hair while the two of you slurped away. Yummy …. 😉

Today will be a typical Monday for me. I was up a little before nine this morning. I spent a couple of hours writing fresh material for my novel-in-progress, and then I spent 45 minutes booking a two week cruise for March 2019. The cruise goes up the Pacific coast, starting in Chile and ending in San Diego. I’ve never been to any of the ports we’re visiting, and I’m real excited about the trip. Two close friends are also going on the cruise, so it’ll be fun.

Okay, now have a look at Mr. Denim Shirt to the left. How could you possibly resist kissing him? (Assuming he’d let you.) Aye-yi-yi, he’s so cute.

It’s lunchtime, here at my house, and after I dine I will drive into the city to visit the YMCA for my usual workout and lap-swimming sessions. It’s a good routine for me, as it keeps me fit and also gets me out among people after I’ve spent all morning by myself.

I need to visit the wine market on my way home from the YMCA, as my wine supply is depleted. (Oh, no!) And I’ll hit the supermarket to, to buy some sort of fish for my evening meal.

All right, everyone, I will tear my gaze from the lovely-lipped guys whose photos I have posted here, and get busy on preparing lunch. Have a nice Monday, everyone.

A pair of handsome guys; fun football day for Martin ….

Hi, friends and readers:

Sometimes, when I am out in public, I encounter a young man who steals my breath, and the two in tonight’s photo posts qualify. I mean, have a look at Mr. Eyebrows to the left here. I could lick his forehead all night …. 🙂

This morning, I drove into the city to pick up my friend Dan and his dad. Then I drove us over to Tampa to attend the Tampa Bay Bucs’ game against Carolina. We tailgated before the game, in a shady backyard. My friends had a grill going so we dined on brats and burgers, and I drank a few beers, but not to excess.

Now, I am not a Bucs fan. The team is full of thugs and the owners are thieves who don’t care about our community. But the tickets were free and I enjoyed spending time with my friends. The weather was good, too.

The game turned out to be a good one, very close. The Bucs won, which I don’t think anyone expected, and what a nice Christmas gift to their fans. I had a great time milling with the crowd and checking out all the cute guys. There were plenty, most all of them wearing shorts so I could check out their fuzzy legs. 🙂

I drove Dan and his dad, Robert, to and from the game, and I did a good job, despite the snarled, post-game traffic.

I’m home now, and I have a date later on. 😉 He’ll arrive in an hour or so, and in the meantime I will grab a shower and dine on a chicken breast. It’s nice on the island tonight–quiet and peaceful. And my Christmas lights outside look wonderful.

All right, everyone, I need to jump in the shower. So, I will wish all of you a very nice Sunday evening, wherever you might be tonight.

Cute guys at the beach; gloomy day on the island ….

Hi, friends and readers:

If you follow this site, you know I live in a beach community on Florida’s west coast. I can walk to the Gulf of Mexico from my front door in two minutes. And on weekends, hordes of college students flock to our shore to sun themselves and swim in the Gulf’s warm water.

See the guy to the left? He’s cute, isn’t he? And you may think his straw hat looks silly, but I actually have one just like it that I wear to the beach all the time. It shades my face, neck and shoulders, and helps keep me cool when I take my three-mile walks down there.

Well, I finished decorating my tree last night, and now my home looks festive, inside and out. I love the light-sensitive timer I have for my exterior lights and illuminated Frosty The Snowman. They switch on automatically at sundown and turn off at sunrise. Amazing. 🙂

I rose this morning, right around nine AM, and after a quick breakfast I got busy writing new material for my novel-in-progress for two hours. Now it’s past noon and I’ll have some lunch right after I finish this post. Outside, the sky is overcast and the wind is blowing hard out of the southeast. After lunch I’ll take a three-mile walk for some exercise, and then I have a few projects to work on at my vacation rental next door. A neighbor’s having me over for dinner tonight, and after we dine we’ll visit my timeshare for a soak in the hot tub.

Have a nice Saturday, everyone, wherever you are today. 🙂

The world of BDSM. Why does it fascinate us so?

Hi, friends and readers:

Several years ago, my short novel, Passion Play was released. The book had a BDSM theme. Here’s the book’s blurb:

“Reverend Luke helps put on the Passion Play at his church every year. Nearly eighty parishioners get involved, and this year brothers James and Marcus Thibodeaux will be participate. James will play Jesus, but there’s a hitch; he’s deaf, so Marcus will act as translator.

“James is beautiful and young–almost angelic in appearance–and just the person to portray Jesus. Or is he?

“When Reverend Luke begins a sexual relationship with Marcus, he learns things about James that are hardly angelic. Can Reverend Luke convince James to be penitent and worthy of portraying Jesus?”

Passion Play sold briskly upon its release, and it still continues to sell today. I have often asked myself, “What is it about the BDSM scene that fascinates people so much?” And I think it has a good deal to do with dominance, the desire to exert utter control over another person, or submission, the urge to surrender one’s will to another. There is, no doubt, a sexual edge to BDSM, as it gets some people’s hearts thumping. And hey, as long as it is consensual, who is it harming?

Anyway, if you want to check out Passion Play you can find it here:

It’s a beautiful day, here on the island. The sun is shining and we’re headed for a high of 72 degrees F. I normally go to the YMCA on Fridays, but the weather’s so nice, I think I will skip the “Y” today. Instead I’ll take a three-mile walk after lunch, and then take a two-mile run around four PM. I have some errands to run in between, so my afternoon  will be busy.

Tonight I plan to trim my Christmas tree, my first in two years. Have a nice Friday, everyone. 🙂

One more boy with shaggy hair and some naked Christmas cheer; Martin’s mostly decorated ….

Hi, friends and readers:

Since you guys really liked this morning’s “shaggy-haired boys” photo posts, I thought I would share one more I especially like. He’s cute, isn’t he?

Well, this afternoon, I dove into getting my place decorated for Christmas. This involved climbing into my crawl space to retrieve boxes of lights and ornaments, along with my illuminating Frosty The Snowman and my tree stand.

I started with stringing exterior lights on my deck. I also put Frosty up there–it’s his official spot every year. The lights and Frosty are plugged into a timer that turns them on at dusk, so I don’t have to manually turn them on and off. Next, I used a cordless drill to drill a hole in the trunk of my tree, and then I fixed the tree onto my tree stand. (Okay, it’s a little crooked, so when I brought it into the house I had to use a few books to level things.)

I put my dancing Surfing Santa doll on my fireplace mantel along with lower limbs from  the Fraser Fir the guys at Home Depot trimmed from my tree. Then I put three strands of lights on the tree, which took me awhile because I always have a hard time getting the lights evenly distributed. But I finally succeeded, and now I just have to trim the tree with decorations. Maybe I’ll do that when I get home from my friend’s tonight.

If only I had a boyfriend, we could trim the tree naked like the guys to the left here. Looks like fun. 😉

It’s another chilly night, here on the island. I’ll be heading into town for a “boys’ night out” with my old friend. We’ve been doing this for forty years, and it’s a weekly tradition I always enjoy. You just can’t beat old friends, can you? Though I still enjoy making new ones too. In any event, I need to jump in the shower, so I will wish all of you a lovely Thursday evening. And keep smiling, it’s important. 🙂

Boys with shaggy hair; another chilly day on the island ….

????????????????????????????????????

Hi, friends and readers:

Young guys these days tend to spend a lot of time and money on their hair. These hipster haircuts you see that are super short on the sides and glued stiff on top require lots of maintenance. And while I think they’re okay on certain guys, I still think a young man with unkempt and shaggy hair takes the cake. I mean, don’t you think Mr. Blue T-Shirt to the left here is adorable? I wonder what his name is and where he lives? I’m guessing he’s…Kevin from Topeka, Kansas. He lives on a soybean farm, has five siblings, and lusts for a boy in his Geometry class. 😉

Well, I had a pleasant dinner with my friend last night. I dined on fresh clams with a white sauce over linguine, very tasty. And our bottle of Chianti was some of the best I’ve had, so the evening was a success. I got home around nine PM and turned on my fireplace. Then I just sat on the sofa, enjoying the flames while texting with a friend in Pensacola. I might visit him there next month.

Have a look at Mr. BMX to the left here. Yeah, he’s a little rough around the edges, but I kind of like that, plus he has great shaggy hair.

Anyway, this morning I ended up sleeping in late, even though I went to bed last night around eleven. I think I was tired from all the activities I engaged in yesterday, so I guess I needed the rest. I rose at 9:30 AM and made myself some breakfast. I skipped writing and read the newspaper instead, and now it’s eleven AM.

Outside, is’s chilly (56 degrees F) and a steady breeze is blowing from the northeast, making it seem even colder. I have a bunch of things I’ll need to do today, including getting my Christmas tree in its stand, re-mounting a window blind, and doing some cleaning in my place as well as in my vacation rental. Around four PM I’ll take a two-mile run for some exercise, and then around 5:30 PM I’ll drive into the city to spend the evening with my oldest friend, a weekly ritual.

Have nice Thursday, friends.
