Hot boys in plaid shirts; quiet morning on the island ….

Hi, friends and readers:

I’m not sure why, but I find the look of a plaid shirt on a handsome young man very appealing, especially if it’s unbuttoned to show off his chest and belly. I mean, who could resist the lovely guy to the left here? Not me. 😉

I spent a quiet evening at home last night. Around 5:30 PM, I built a blaze in my patio fire pit, my first of the cool-weather seasons. It felt so good to sit outside and watch the flames dance as darkness fell. I drank a vodka-tonic out there, and when the flames died down, I went inside and warmed up leftover pizza for my dinner. I made a nice salad to go with it, so the meal was tasty.

After dinner, I watched a Netflix rental I had seen a few years ago, an Australian production called Newcastle. The story revolves around certain members of the surfing subculture in Newcastle, a coastal town where shipping is a dominant industry. The film’s cast are mostly young men in their early twenties, and two of them eventually become boyfriends. The photography’s mind blowing, and It’s a nice story too. You might want to check it out here:

I’m attended an opera this afternoon, courtesy of a friend who has an extra ticket. The opera is based on the story, Pinocchio, which I always thought was a kind of gay little tale about a man who wants a boy in his life. (Nothing too subtle about that, is there?) My friend and I might grab some dinner out afterward, so it should be a nice way to spend the second half of my day.

Have a nice Sunday, friends, wherever you might be.

Sexy guys and their cameras; gorgeous Saturday on the island ….

Hi, friends and readers:

Most selfies are so uninteresting. I don’t care t see your bath towels or hair care products, thank you. But once in a while I will come across a few I find irresistible, and then I’ll share them with all of you.

Now, have a look at Mr. Abs & Wavy Hair. Would you turn down a date with him? Of course, you wouldn’t, not if you have any appreciation for male beauty. 😉

I roe around 8:30 this morning, and after my usual breakfast, I got busy working on my novel-in-progress. I spent two hours at the keyboard before I succumbed to temptation and called it quits for the day. The reason for my temptation? We are having an absolutely perfect weather day, here on the island: sunny, dry, just a light breeze, and a temperature around 72 degrees F.

This weather is one of the main reasons so many people want to live in Florida, and one reason I love living on my little island. After I finished writing, I slipped into gym shorts and a T-shirt. Then I took a three-mile walk, here on the island. It was so nice. Then because conditions were so nice, I took a two-mile run for some more exercise.

By the way, do you find the young man to the left here as appealing as I do? Great skin and hair and just the right amount of muscle on his slender frame. If you would like to see a lot more of him, and you’re over 18 years of age, click on the link I’m providing below and I doubt you’ll be disappointed in what you see. This guy is not the least bit modest. 😉

I’m home from my run and getting ready to do some light yard work. My hand’s feeling much better, so I can pretty much use it normally now, and that’s good. I like being productive around the house. 🙂

Okay, here’s the link to Mr. Sexy’s explicit pics:

Enjoy, friends, and have a great Saturday.

Hot guys in beanies; chilly morning on the island ….

Hi, friends and readers:

Beanies aren’t all that popular in central Florida because our weather rarely gets cold enough for a guy to wear one, and that’s too bad because I think a beanie sometimes gives certain guys a sexy look, especially if the guys  looks like the two young men in today’s photo posts.

I love the expression on the guy’s face to the left, and the teasing way he’s tugging on the drawstring to his shorts. Very sexy …. 😉

By the time I reached my friend’s house last night, the temperature had lunged into the low 60’s and my friend had a blaze going in his fire pit, which made for a very pleasant evening. After we drank a few beers, we ordered takeout from our favorite pizza place, and I even have leftovers for tonight’s dinner. Yummy ….

Speaking of yummy, who could resist the beautiful young man to the left here? A beanie never looked so good. 🙂

I rose around 8:30 this morning, and after a quick breakfast, I got busy working on my novel-in-progress for 2-1/2 hours. The book’s coming along nicely, but will need some massaging after the first draft is complete. But that’s always the case with every book I have written over the years. First drafts of necessity involve substantial revisions to make them readable.

Outside it’s a bright and sunny day, but quite cool, and a breeze continues to blow from the northwest, which would make jogging very uncomfortable, as I have to run northward for the first half of my two-mile run. So unless the wind dies down this afternoon, I will likely take a three-mile walk instead.

Have a nice Friday, friends.

One more guy in a Speedo; wind continues to blow ….

Hi, friends and readers:

Aside from a jock strap, nothing flatters a handsome young man’s physique more than a Speedo swimsuit. I think the guy to the left here looks gorgeous in his. I could stare at him all day if given the chance. 😉

Well, it has been a gloomy and windy day, here on the island. The wind was blowing too hard for me to take my usual two-mile run this afternoon, so I walked three miles on the streets and alleys, trying to avoid the strong wind gusts.

In about a half-hour I will drive into the city to spend the evening with my friend, who I am always glad to see. Have a nice Thursday night, everyone. 🙂

Beautiful divers; ugly day on the island ….

Hi, friends and readers:

I have never attended a swim meet, although many are held in my area of Florida. But after looking at the photos I have posted here today, I think I might be missing out on something. 😉 I mean, check out Mr. Green Speedo to the left here. What an amazing body, and his skin appears to be utterly smooth, which I find very appealing. I could watch him do jack knives for hours …. 🙂

I had a delicious meal last night with my old friend, Tom, and we shared some enjoyable conversation while sipping from a nice bottle of Chianti. I got home around nine PM and spent some pleasant time on my back screened porch, listening to by patio fountain gurgle and exchanging instant messages with a friend in Europe. I finally got to be around 11:30 and, believe it or not, I slept until 9:30 this morning. I think I was exhausted from all the driving I did yesterday, and also from the work I performed on my boat.

Now, have a look at Mr. Blue Speedo to the left here. Great body, skin and hair. I have a feeling he is Australian, he has that look. Anyway, he sure makes that Speedo look good. 😉

Anyway, it’s lunchtime now, and in just a few minutes I will heat up a bowl of soup I will fortify with some leftover baked chicken I have in the fridge. Then I plan to take a three-mile walk, here on the island. Outside, the wind is blowing 15-20 MPH and the sky is overcast. A cold front is moving into central Florida and the temperature today won’t break 72 degrees F, which is fine with me. I’m sick of hot weather.

I don’t have too much planned for my day, other than some light housework and a trip to the supermarket. I’ll pay some bills and tend to correspondence, and then tonight I will drive into the city to spend the evening with my oldest friend. Like always, we’ll drink a few beers and get some takeout for our dinner. It’s always fun.

Have a nice Thursday, friends.

One more guy in black-and-white; quiet night on the island ….

Hi, friends and readers:

Since people liked this morning’s black-and-white photo posts, I thought I would share one more with you this evening. Isn’t he beautiful?

Well, I had a productive day. Around ten AM I left for Tampa for my PT appointment. Then I drove northward to the marina where I keep the boat I use at my fishing camp. After I eradicated the nest of carpenter ants dwelling in my on-board storage box, I cleaned the box thoroughly and organized the contents so everything is neat and clean. Then I cleaned the boat’s interior from top to bottom, which was badly needed. Now the boat looks great and is ready for my next visit to camp.

My drive home was terribly frustrating because of lane closures due to accidents. A trip that should have taken one hour and fifteen minutes took two hours because of traffic slowdowns. 🙁 But now I am home and sipping from a cold beer. I’m having dinner with an old friend at our favorite Italian place, so it should be a nice evening.

Have a great Tuesday night, friends.

Beautiful guys in black-and-white; blustery morning on the island ….

Hi, friends and readers:

I a huge fan of quality black-and-white photography, and every week I like to put up two of my favorites for your viewing pleasure. I especially like the photo to the left here, and the way the photographer caught the reflections of light on the water’s surface.

I actually had a date last night, with a young man I’d never met before. He was charming, and very masculine. He was as tall as me, but sported a lot more muscle. We spent a pleasant couple of hours, and I think we’ll see each other again soon. 😉

Here’s another photo I really like, primarily because it asks more questions than it answers. Why is the boy naked, and exactly where is he? Why is he studying the ball in his hands with a scowl on his face. Did his team just lose a sporting contest. I like the way the light coming through the window plays on his body. Great photo ….

In about 45 minutes I will climb into my Honda Element and cruise over to Tampa for a physical therapy appointment regarding my left hand. Then I’ll drive northward to a marina where I keep the boat I use at my fishing camp. I need to clean the boat and rid the on-deck storage box of a carpenter ant colony. (What fun.)

Outside, the sky is overcast and a steady wind is blowing, as a cold front is entering central Florida today. Temperatures are set to drop to their lowest since last March, and I’m looking forward to cooler weather. Have a nice Wednesday, friends.

Video clip from “North Sea Texas”; quiet night on the island ….

Hi, friends and readers:

Since everyone seemed to enjoy this morning’s post about the film, North Sea Texas, I thought I would post a little video clip of Gino and Pim getting passionate while tent-camping. What a sweet little scene.

I’m home alone tonight. I stayed busy today with errands, yard work and housework. Tomorrow I visit my physical therapist in Tampa. Then I will drive to the marina where I keep my boat for my fishing camp. I need to thoroughly clean the boat and spray the on-board storage box for carpenter ants. (Thrilling stuff, eh?)

Hey, since I can’t go to the gym or swim laps, I may as well make myself useful. Have a nice Tuesday night, friends.

“North Sea Texas”, a heartwarming film you should see ….

Hi, friends and readers:

If you have never seen the film North Sea Texas, I strongly suggest you put it on your Netflix queue. It’s the story of two boys, Pim and Gino, who are neighbors in a Dutch seaside town, and how their friendship eventually morphs into something far more intense as they grow older and explore the nature of their sexuality. The film was made in The Netherlands, but the dialogue is, I believe, either dubbed in English or is subtitled in English. You can read about the film here:

I suspect nearly every gay man had a friend he desired when he was in his mid-teens, and North Sea Texas will take you back to that that time in your life. The film is well-acted and photographed, but it’s a “quiet” movie. No one gets shot or raped, and there’s only one violent scene, where Pim finally vents his anger at Gino for Gino’s unwillingness to accept his own sexuality.

I was up early this morning, and I spent two hours writing fresh material for my novel-in-progress. Once I finished writing, I solved the N.Y. Times Tuesday crossword puzzle, and then I decided to put up this post.

Because my hand is still pretty sore from the medical procedure I endured last week, I can’t really do a lot in the manual labor or housework department. But I will take a three-mile walk on the beach in just a little while, and then I have an appointment with a decorator at 1:30 PM.

I don’t really have any plans for my evening, but that’s okay. I need to take things easy and let my hand fully heal. Have a nice Tuesday, everyone, wherever you might be today.

Hot guys in gym shorts; easy Monday in store for Martin ….

Hi, friends and readers:

Just about ten blocks from my house there are two public basketball courts that are very popular with students from a nearby college. Ten or so guys will divide up into two squads, and then they’ll get sweaty, running up and down the court, often shirtless. They all wear gym shorts and I love the way the shortsshow off their muscular legs and rounded rear ends.

I think the guys in today’s photo posts look great in their gym shorts, don’t you? I mean, check out Mr. Black T-shirt to the left here. Imagine giving lots of attention to his amazing calves and thighs. Yummy …

I went to bed early last night. I was tired from my three-day trip to University of Florida for the South Carolina football game, so I got under the covers and read for a while before drifting off to sleep. I slept like a sack of rocks, and didn’t get up until around 8:30 AM.

I just finished writing two hours; worth of fresh material for my novel-in-progress, and after I complete this post I will go for a three-mile walk on the beach for some exercise, since I can’t go to the YMCA this week. My hand is simply too sore to lift weights, and my finger needs to fully heal before I get back into the pool to swim laps.

By the way, I know he’s a bit on the skinny side, but do you find the boy in the lower photo as appealing as I do? I wonder what his name is and where he lives? I’m guessing he’s…Cody from Ft. Worth, TX. He’s attending community college, living with the folks, and working part-time at a supermarket, bagging groceries. He has the hots for another bag boy at the supermarket, but he’s afraid to let his feelings be known.

All right, friends, I need to go for my walk, so I will wish all of you a very pleasant Monday. And keep smiling, it’s important. 🙂
