Well, if you liked the photos I posted here this morning, the I know you’ll like the one to the left. How’d you like to spend a few hours poolside with him? He looks like he’s enjoying that frozen cocktail, doesn’t he? I’ll bet if you took him up to your hotel room, he’d be a wild one. 😉
I had a great writing session this morning, and an excellent workout and lap-swimming session at the YMCA. I left there feeling relaxed and ready for the weekend.
I had a 70-foot private sidewalk on my property that was falling apart. It was 77 years old and needed replaced, and this afternoon a concrete contractor sent a crew out here to tear out the old sidewalks and build the forms for a new sidewalk. They will pour the concrete Saturday morning, and presto, I’ll have a new, far more appealing and safer sidewalk.
It’s been a very busy week for me, what with being sick Tuesday and multiple appointments. So, I am ready for a quiet evening at home tonight. I’ll drink a few beers and prepare a tasty pasta dish with chicken strips and lots of veggies. Yummy ….
Here in central Florida, we love our swimming pools because it’s so stinking hot here six months out of the year. A pool cools us off and also provides exercise for those who want it. And, of course, depending on the pool, sometimes a handsome young man or two will be lounging on the pool deck wearing nothing other than a swimsuit that clings to his lovely body like a second skin. I mean, wouldn’t you like to spend an afternoon poolside with the boy in the upper photo? Aye-yi-yi, what a babe …. 😉
Well, for the first time in many months, I did not sleep 10 or 11 hours last night and this morning. I woke up at eight AM and got right out of bed, feeling rested and ready for the day ahead. I brewed coffee and enjoyed my breakfast, then I got busy writing fresh material for my novel-in-progress for 2-1/2 hours. I got some serious work done, and now I’m finished for the day.
I have an easy day ahead of me. Right after lunch I’ll visit the YMCA for a workout and lap-swimming, and then I’ll head home.
The weather on my island has finally cooled off this morning and the humidity has dropped a good deal, a sign our fall is finally arriving. Oh, for joy. Have a nice Friday, everyone.
