Remember “Queer as Folk”?

Hi, friends and readers:

Remember the Showtime original TV series called “Queer as Folk”? The show ran five seasons between 2000 and 2005, and it caused quite a stir in the LGBTQ community. Never before had a television show devoted itself to the gay subculture.

Being a twink lover, I of course liked the character Justin, whom you see to the left, more than any other actor in the show. He was so cute. And I found his cheerful attitude about being gay such a refreshing change from the depressed gay characters I’d seen in other shows.  Justin reveled in his queerness.

Here’s a link to a great video clip from the show, where Justin talks with his mom and his therapist about the joys of anal sex:

Pretty funny, eh?

Well, it’s been a tame day for me, but I managed to walk three miles on the beach before taking a dip in the Gulf. Then I came home and spent 2-1/2 hours editing my friend’s environmental law book. Now it’s a little past five PM and I just opened a beer. I’ll get a nice little buzz on before I prepare dinner–leftovers and a fruit salad. I’ll watch the rest of my Netflix movie, and maybe read from a newly purchased book of stories by James Baldwin.

Have a nice Tuesday night, friends.

Hot boys in the kitchen; breezy morning on the island ….

Hi, friends and readers:

Once in a while, when you host another guy at your domicile for a romantic encounter, you’ll get lucky and he’ll spend the night. When you wake the next morning, you might hear him rustling about in the kitchen, and when you find him in there, he’s either wearing very little, or nothing at all. 😉

Well, I wouldn’t mind finding either guy in this morning’s photo posts. I know the young man in the upper photo is a popular singer/entertainer from Canada, but I don’t know his name. He sure fills out those Calvins nicely. 🙂 Update: his name is Shawn Mendes.

I spent a quiet evening at home last night, dining on a chicken breast and an avocado salad while I watched the first half of a movie. Afterward, I spent a little time editing my latest writing. Then I sat on my back porch and listened to the wind rustle my trees’  branches.

By the way, I think the guy to the left here has an amazing body, just my type. 😉

I did a little reading after I climbed into bed last night, and I guess I was up later than I realized because I slept until 9:30 this morning.

I don’t have too much planned for my Tuesday, other than walking three miles on the beach and maybe running two miles later this afternoon. It seems the hurricane will not come near the Bay Area, which is great news. So I won’t have that to worry about.

Have a great Tuesday, friends.
