Since I live in a beach community, I’m down at the shore a lot, especially on the weekends when the boys from our area’s colleges flock to the Gulf of Mexico to sun themselves and swim in the balmy salt water. It makes for some amazing sights, so I make sure I get down there Saturdays and Sundays.
I was up early this morning because I thought something was wrong with my car–the new battery I just bought or the alternator. I drove to a garage with a good reputation and they checked everything, but could not find anything wrong. So I drove home.
I’m not going to the YMCA today. I have a lot to do around the house this afternoon, so I’ll take a two-mile run, here on the island, right around four PM. Then, about 5:30 I will drive into the city to spend the evening with my oldest friend. We’ll drink a few beers and chat. Then we’ll dine on takeout from our favorite Mexican place, Tijuana Flats. It’s good food.
Okay, friends, I need to get busy on some things around here, so I will close this post by wishing all of you a wonderful Friday, wherever you might be right now. And keep smiling, it’s important.
