Do you find Mr. Shirtless to the left here as sexy as I do? He has it all–nice skin and hair, athletic body, and big hands. (You know what they say about guys with big hands ….) I could skate with him all day. 😉
I’m back from the YMCA, where I swam my laps first, and then worked out. It ran some errands on my way home, and soon I’ll drive over to my friend’s home to share dinner with him.
A thunderstorm is rumbling outside, but who knows whether or not it will reach my neighborhood. Outside, it’s hot and humid, and home’s air conditioning sure feels good. Have a nice Friday night, friends.
I’ve always kept a special place in my heart for skateboarders. Theirs is a unique subculture most people don’t understand. To outsiders, the boys come off as ignorant, smelly and lazy, but in fact they’re just the opposite. It takes a tremendous amount of time and devotion to master the art of skateboarding. Also, and I speak from experience, most of these guys are intelligent and sensitive, once you get to know them. And some are, honestly, quite beautiful.
Another thing: A certain percentage of boys in the skateboarder subculture are gay. They have to be careful about who they share the truth about their sexuality with, but gay boys are definitely a part of the skating scene. I know, because I hear from them all the time on this site.
I spent a pleasant evening at my best friend’s house last night. We drank a few beers and dined on takeout pizza and salad. A thunderstorm swept into town around seven PM and the rain fell in buckets, which was actually quite soothing. By the time I got home, it was close to 9:30 PM, and I spent a little time on my back porch, listening to the breeze whistle in my trees before I went to bed with a book.
I slept in late this morning, and after I finish this post I will read the newspaper. Then, right after lunch, I’ll drive into town to visit the YMCA for a workout and lap-swimming. I’m having dinner at a friend’s tonight. We’ll do some more planning for our Montana trip in June.
