I adore good quality black-and-white photography, and at least once a week I like to share some of my favorite photos with all of you, so I am doing so this morning.
Have a look at the boy to the left. No, he’s not the fashion model type, and that’s why I like the photo so much. His hair is a mess and his clothing is slouchy, but you can almost feel his intense personality oozing out of the picture. I could spend a very long weekend with him at my fishing camp, bathing in his energy. 😉 And, is that an Eames chair he’s seated on?
Well, my sister, her husband and I spent the most wonderful evening together yesterday. The tapas we dined on were excellent, and so was the sangria. Then we attended a live performance of Mama Mia!, which was so much fun. The crowd was far larger than we expected, but a volunteer found us an excellent spot to spread our blanket. I laughed so much during the show I almost wet my pants. You can’t beat live theater with a live band, can you?
Now, this photo to the left is entirely different than the one above it, but I like it just as much. The young man is quite sensual, and he clearly has an attitude. He knows just how alluring his appearance is, doesn’t he? He reminds me of a Berlin rent boy I came to know one summer, back in 2008. Daniel, where are you now?
I have an easy Thursday in store for me–no commitments or necessary chores. I can do as I please. I need to perform a little yard work and house cleaning, but nothing major. I’ll take a two-mile run late this afternoon, and then I’ll spend my evening with my oldest friend, drinking a few beers and dining on takeout. Not bad, eh?
Have a nice day, everyone. And keep smiling; it’s important.
