Who could resist gazing into the lovely blue eyes of the beautiful young man to the left here? They have almost a spooky quality to them. Combined with his amazing hair and skin, and his slender build, he’s pretty much close to perfection, at least in my book. Yummy …
It’s been a quiet day for me, due to the fact the weather was windy and the sky overcast all day. But I got a lot done in the writing department, and that’s a food thing, as they say.
I’m looking forward to this evening. I’m sharing a bottle of wine with a good friend and neighbor, and then I am hosting my sister and her husband for dinner. They are staying next door in my vacation rental apartment for several days. I bought fresh Gulf grouper to bake, and I will team the fish with twice-baked potatoes and a fresh spinach salad.
I’ve always been a fan of guys with dark hair and dark eyes, but that’s just my personal taste, and my first partner, who I lived with 25 years, had pretty blue eyes, just like the guys in today’s photo posts. So, I can certainly appreciate the beauty of a pair of sparkling, ice blue eyes, or even cobalt-colored eyes.

I ended up eschewing yesterday’s bluegrass music party, though I hated doing so. Unfortunately, for the past few days I’ve suffered from digestive issues, a rarity for me, and my stomach was too upset yesterday for me to spend hours outdoors and drinking beer. So, I stayed home and laid low, and now everything seems to be fine.
Now, I don’t know about you, but I find Mr. Blue-Gray Eyes to the left here enchanting. And those lips. Aye-yi-yi …
I’m looking out the window above my desk and watching the fronds on my coconut palms thrash about, as a storm front is roaring across our island from the Gulf of Mexico. We’re supposed to have severe weather fr the next few hours, so I’ll just hunker down in the house and continue making revisions to the first draft of my novel-in-progress. As previously mentioned, it’s a huge book–about 95,000 words–and it took me nearly ten months to write. But I am happy with the story and its characters. And after I spend the next month or so refining the book, I think it’ll be one of my best.
