If you follow this site then you know I live in a beach community of Florida’s west coast. The Gulf of Mexico and a white sand beach are 100 yards form my front door, and I visit the shore frequently, to take long walks and swim in the placid water. It’s a beautiful place, and most days, when I take a walk, I’ll encounter handsome young guys form our local colleges, running around in swim trunks and little else.
Yesterday I took a three mile walk on the shore, and I saw a few guys who stole my breath, they were so handsome. Aye-yi-yi …. 😉
I was up around 8:30 this morning, and after a quick breakfast, I sat down at the keyboard with a cup of coffee. I worked on revisions o my novel-in-progress, which is just about ready for submission to my publisher. I’ve worked on the book for ten months, and that’s a long time for me. But I’m delighted with the result.
Today will be a special one for me, because I have a date with a guy I’ met online. We’ve traded instant messages for a few weeks now, but this will be the first time we’ve met in person. He seems like a sweet and intelligent guy. He’s considerably younger than me, but our age difference doesn’t seem to matter to him. He’s visiting me place around three PM and we’ll go for a swim, maybe take a walk along the shore while we get acquainted.
I’m preparing a nice meal for us this evening. He has an early flight tomorrow, so he asked me if we could dine a bit earlier than normal, so I guess we’ll sit down for dinner around 6:30 PM. Yeah, I’m a little bit nervous, but that’s to be expected.
Wish me luck, guys, and have a great Friday, wherever you are today.
Yes, Dylan Dauzat’s a brainless douche bag, but he’s so cute. We’ll overlook his lack of talent or smarts. Hell, I’d spend a day on a boat with him any day. 😉
I had a splendid evening with my friend, Larry, and now I am back on the island. I’m a little tired, as I took a lovely three-mile walk on the beach this afternoon. The breeze coming off the Gulf felt great, and the sand was soft but firm. 🙂
I’m tired, after a long day taking care of business. I have a date tomorrow, and I am making dinner for us. We’ll visit the beach before we dine, and I’m excited. He seems like a nice guy, plus he has the prettiest blue eyes.
The guy you see in today’s photo posts is Dylan Dauzat, a YouTube and Instagram personality who makes inane videos and posts endless photos of himself doing unremarkable things. He’s only popular because he’s so damned cute, and that’s why I’m posting his photos here. Nice bedsheets, Dylan. 😉
Well, I spent most of my day driving to and from the Honda dealer, and sitting in the customer lounge, waiting for my Element to be serviced. Besides an oil change, the a/c needed Freon because it wasn’t blowing as cold as it should. Now it’s done and I just got home.
Outside, it’s scorching hot and quite humid. The weather man on TV said it’s due to a high pressure system that is camped out over central Florida, making things nasty and preventing any rain from falling. I sure hope the system moves soon because it’s too hot to even take a run or go to the beach.
Since today is Thursday, around 5:30 PM I will drive into the city to spend the evening with my best friend. Like always, we will trade stories and catch up on things while drinking a few beers. Then we’ll get takeout for our dinner. It’s always fun, and I know my friend enjoys the company.
All right, everyone, I have things to do, now that I am home, so I will close this post by wishing all of you a very pleasant Thursday, wherever you might be. And keep smiling, it’s important.
I know you guys liked my “hot guys wearing sunglasses” photos I posted this morning, and I figured you like the one to the left here too. I mean, the guy has an amazing body and beautiful skin. I could follow him around on the beach for hours. Do you think he’d let me rub sunscreen on his back and shoulders? Yummy …. 😉
As mentioned this morning, I wasn’t able to visit the YMCA today, and I couldn’t do anything too strenuous around the house either. But I made a list of things to accomplish, and now they are all done. I paid bills and finalized several insurance issues. I used the leaf blower on my patios and watered plants. I installed new air conditioner filters in my returns. Most importantly, I unpacked a substantial piece of furniture for my vacation rental next door–a new media cabinet that was mostly assembled, but still required hardware installation, which I was able to complete without too much trouble. The new piece looks great over there, since it hides all the wires connected with the cable service and TV, making everything appear much neater.
I’m baking a ziti casserole tonight, one of my favorite dishes I always enjoy cooking and eating, plus it provides me with all kinds of leftovers, always nice for single guys. Have a nice Wednesday evening, friends.
Here in coastal Florida, sunglasses are just worn for style. They’re a necessary part of our lives because the sun’s rays, particularly during summer, are quite intense, especially when they reflect off the water and sand surrounding us beach dwellers. So, I never go outside during the day without shades.
Now, I don’t know about you, but I find the young man in the upper photo I’ve posted here extremely sexy, with his slender build, smooth skin and dark hair. And his sunglasses lend him an air of mystery. He’s definitely boyfriend material.
And speaking of boyfriend material, how about the guy to the left here. He has great skin and hair, and a nice athletic build. He’s utterly yummy, isn’t he?
This will be a quiet day for me. I had a minor medical procedure performed on me yesterday afternoon, and I’m not allowed to lift anything heavy, so no YMCA today. I’ll take a three-mile walk on the beach for some exercise, and I’ll be sure to wear my broad-brimmed straw hat to keep myself cool in this scorching heat we’re having. (I can’t wait to spend three weeks in Montana and Wyoming, during June and July.)
I don’t know about you, but I find the photo to the left intriguing. The boy, of course, is naked, and clutching what appears to be a basketball. Perhaps he’s in a locker room. He doesn’t look particularly happy, does he? Did his team lose the game, and maybe he’s blaming himself for the loss? Who knows, but I like the way the light coming through the window is playing on his lanky body.
I had a thoroughly pleasant Tuesday evening with my friend, Dan. We went to Happy Hour at Ruth Chris steak house downtown, where they have great dinner and drink specials at very low prices. The we attended a screening on the film, The White Crow, which was a biopic of Russian dancer Rudolf Nureyev, who defected to France while performing in Paris in 1961. The music and ballet dancing was excellent, and the lead actor was nothing short of gorgeous. He was shown having an affair with another male dancer, a cute blond German guy who spoke English with an Oxford accent.
All right, everyone, I have a little editing work to perform before bed, so I will close this post by wishing all of you a pleasant Tuesday night.
If you follow this website (And thanks to all of you who do.) then you know I adore quality black-and-white photography, particularly when the subject is a handsome young man. I mean, who cold resist kissing the guy to the left. He’s so beautiful, and those lips. Aye-yi-yi ….
I was up until midnight last night, reading in bed, but I slept well and I rose around eight this morning, feeling refreshed and ready for the day. And I have a nice suntan from the two days I spent on the east coast.
The photo to the left I find very appealing. I like the way the lighting falls on only half the model’s face, and I like his tousled hair as well. What a lovely guy. 😉
Today will be a day devoted to little tasks and responsibilities. I need to huddle with my insurance agent on changes to my coverages: homeowner’s, auto and umbrella liability. It’s complicated and boring, but necessary. I have a few errands to run, and a doctor’s appointment to make. I have some unpacking to do from my weekend trip. And tonight, a friend and will have dinner out before seeing a movie, which one we have not decided yet. So, I’ll be busy, but that’s good. I like staying busy.
Have a nice Tuesday, everyone. And keep smiling, it’s important.
I spent Saturday night at a friend’s house in the city. Then, early Sunday morning, we and three other good friends drove over to Brevard County, on Florida’s east coast, to do a little surfing. Surfing-wise, the trip was kind of a bust because there weren’t any waves on Sunday, and today, the break we planned to surf at was mobbed, to the point where it would not have been safe for us to surf. Too many surfers and too many swimmers. But we brought a nice 10′ X 10′ beach tent and folding chairs. We had a cooler with icy drinks, and we spent last night at a beach bar with great music and dancing. Fun, fun …. 🙂
We stayed in Cocoa Beach until around three this afternoon, and then drove back to the west coast with all our gear. I just got home about 30 minutes ago, and most everything’s put away. I feel tired but satisfied, and it was nice spending time with good friends. I’m certainly glad we made the effort to take the trip, and hope to return to a less-crowded surfing break sometime soon. I’m itching to get out on the water again.
I’m not doing a damned thing this evening, other than cooking a simple dinner after I shower. I’l savor a few beers and get to bed early. I have a busy day tomorrow, so I need to take it easy. I hope everyone had a nice Memorial Day Weekend, 🙂
Sometimes a guy likes to stretch out on the floor and stare at the ceiling, so he can concentrate on something he needs to think through. Like, “Why did I have to get into that argument with my boyfriend last night? It ruined the whole evening.”
If you’ve never tried it, you should, plus it’s good for your spine. I do mat exercises at the YMCA every time I go.
Well, I watched a really good Netflix movie last night called Handsome Devil. It’s about two gay boys who end up as roommates at a private academy where rugby dominates the school’s culture. It’s very well done; I recommend it highly.
Have a look at our friend to the left here. I could lie on the floor with him all day …. 😉
I’m working away on edits for my new book. After lunch, I’ll take care of a few things around the house, and then I need to get packing for my surfing trip I’m going on with friends Sunday morning. We’ll stay in a hotel Sunday night, over on the east coast, and maybe surf some more Monday morning before driving back to the west coast Monday afternoon. It’ll be a good time, guaranteed.
I’m taking one of mu surfing buds out for dinner tonight, and then I’ll spend the night at his house so we can leave earlier on Sunday morning. We’ll hang out after dinner and drink some beer, maybe share a cigar. Have a nice Saturday, everyone. And keep smiling, it’s important.
Like I said this morning, I am not a fan of tattoos, but if my boyfriend wanted to get one, I’d be okay with a discreet design like the one on the guy t the left here. How’d you like to wake up next to him in the morning? Yummy …. 😉
I had a productive afternoon. I did a full workout and lap-swimming session at the YMCA. I got my hair cut, visited the hardware store and the supermarket.
Sunday morning, three friends and I will travel to Florida’s east coast to surf, something I have not done in over a year. I’m excited about the trip, and about spending time with my friends in a place I really enjoy visiting–Cocoa Beach. Besides surfing, we’ll do some drinking and dine someplace tasty. My friends will check out the girls while I check out the guys, and it’ll all be fun.
I have nothing planned for my evening, other than spending some time on my deck, enjoying the lovely sea breeze that’s blowing out here this evening. Have a nice Friday night, friends.
