Hi, friends and readers:
Considering where most of you live, the thought of visiting a beach today would seem ludicrous, but not where I reside. I live on a barrier island on Florida’s west coast, and yesterday our high temperature was 76 degrees F. I took a three-mile walk around one PM and the shore was mobbed with sun worshipers in swimsuits. Of course, it’s too early in the year for Spring Breakers to arrive, but they’ll start arriving in another six weeks or so. In the meantime, I’ll have to enjoy the local boys.
I had a fine meal with my friend last night. I had chicken cacciatore and we shared a nice bottle of Italian red wine. We had so much to discuss that the time flew by, and when we departed the restaurant I realized we had been there two hours.
By the way, do you find the guy to the left here as appealing as I do? Great hair and skin, and just the right amount of muscle. Definitely boyfriend material …. 😉
I woke to the sound of rain pelting my roof, early this morning. It felt so peaceful I switched off my alarm and slept in late. Okay, I didn’t get much done in the writing department, but I read the entire newspaper and solved the L.A. Times crossword puzzle, so at least I gave me brain a workout.
I have errands to run this afternoon: Home Depot, an alterations shop to have work done on new valences I bought for my sun porch, and the plant nursery to buy a shrub for my patio. When I get home, I’ll take a two-mile run, here on the island, and then I’ll do some yard work.
Tonight, I’ll join two friends for the evening. We’ll drink beer and wine and buy ourselves some takeout for our dinner, and our host will have a blaze going in his fire pit. It’s always fun.
Have a nice Thursday, friends.
