Those of you in northern climates may find this hard to believe, but right after lunch today, I slipped into my swim trunks and took a three-mile walk on the beach down the street from my home. The shore was mobbed, there wasn’t a single parking space to be found, and lovely college-age boys were everywhere, wearing nothing but boardshorts and showing off their lean bodies. Was my tongue dragging on the sand as I strode alone and enjoyed the views?
What a great way to spend New Year’s Eve afternoon. The temperature was around 75, and the sun shone. 🙂
It’s around seven PM here, and I have two friends coming over for dinner–fresh Gulf grouper and sides–before we attend our neighborhood party. New Year’s Eve has never been a big deal for me, but I know tonight will be fun.
Again, Happy New Year’s Eve my friends. And thanks for visiting my site. 🙂
Well, t’s New Year’s Eve today, and time to reflect on the events of 2018. On a personal level, it’s been a good year. My writing has gone well, and I am pleased with the progress I made on my present novel-in-progress. I’ve adjusted to living single and find it perfectly rewarding in its own way. I spent the best summer of my life, traveling to Jackson Hole, WY, to Iceland, and then to Europe. My health has been excellent, and I have enjoyed many wonderful hours with my friends and loved ones. What more could a guy ask for?
Of course, despite dating several guys, off and on, I haven’t found myself a new boyfriend yet, but I’m working on that as I write these words. At least I’ve been able to enjoy intimacies with some very lovely young men, and I am quite grateful for that. 😉
It’s a beautiful day, here on the island, slightly cool, sunny and clear, with just a light breeze stirring the fronds on my coconut palms. I spent three hours writing fresh material for my novel-in-progress this morning, and I met with my plumber to deal with a minor issue in my vacation rental next door. The problem is fixed and now it’s nearly lunch time.
After lunch, I will take a three-mile walk on the beach, to enjoy this beautiful weather. I have a few household chores to take care of, but not many, and then I need to visit our neighborhood seafood market to buy fresh Gulf grouper for a dinner I am sharing with my good friend and neighbor this evening.
Oh, and the photo to the left here has absolutely nothing to do with New Year’s Eve, but I like it so much I just had to share it with you guys, to help ring in 2019. I mean, I really need to start attending more wrestling tournaments, if the sights are as good as these. Both guys are extremely sexy, but the one on the right is close to perfection, at least in my book. He has beautiful skin and hair, a sinewy physique, and a prominent bulge in the pouch of his singlet. What more could I want for a New Year’s Eve date? 😉
All right, everyone, I need to make myself some lunch, so I will close this post by wishing all of you a very Happy New Year’s Eve. I’m attending a neighborhood party tonight, so I won’t even have to get in my car to have fun. Lucky me …. 🙂
In keeping with today’s “guys in Speedo swimsuits” theme, I thought I’d post one more for your viewing pleasure this evening. He’s a beautiful guy, isn’t he? And he fills out that suit to perfection. 😉
I had a super-busy Sunday. I had only intended to take down my exterior Christmas light and illuminated Frosty the Snowman, but I also ended up taking down my tree and interior decorations. I decided today was the day, so I got it all done, and now everything’s up in the attic.
I also cleaned up my patios with a leaf-blower, cleaned my kitchen floor, visited the booze store for wine, drove through crazy tourist traffic, and washed my car, which was badly needed. By the time I was done I was dog-tired but satisfied with all I had accomplished, and now I will spend a relaxing evening at home.
Aside from a jockstrap, no article of clothing flatters a young man’s physique better than a Speedo-style swimsuit. The suit leaves little to the imagination, just enough to be tantalizing. I think the guy to the left here looks great in his suit. He has a classic swimmer’s build–broad shoulders, narrow waist and lanky limbs. And he’s showing a pretty good bulge in the pouch of the suit. Yummy …. 😉
Well, after I watched the Gators/Michigan game at my friend’s house, I returned home and spent a few hours tending to correspondence. I watched portions of the Notre Dame/Clemson bowl game, a real snoozer. After dinner, I watched part of the Alabama/Oklahoma game, which was also a snoozer. I spent a little time on my back screened porch, listening to my patio fountain gurgle before heading for bed with a book. I read for a little while, but I was tired from my fishing trip and soon went to sleep.
Oh, now have a look at Mr. Lime Green Speedo to the left here. I think he does true justice to his suit, don’t you? It also seems he has an “all-over” tan, which is pretty sexy. Is he getting ready to slip out of his Speedo?
I slept until around nine this morning. After I shaved and made my bed, I fixed a simple breakfast, and then I got busy on this post. I have a full day ahead of me, which will include a visit to the wine market, taking down my exterior Christmas lights, washing my car, cleaning up my patios with the leaf blower, and taking a two-mile run, here on the island. I’ll read the Sunday newspaper and do some laundry, and when I’m done with all that work maybe I can relax.
All right, everyone, I need to get busy on my list of chores, so I will wish all of you a very pleasant Sunday, wherever you might be today. The sun is shining, here on my island, and I hope it’s doing so where you are at. Keep smiling, it’s important. 🙂
Do you find the video clip to the left here as sweet as I do? I love it when gay boyfriends show affection to each other in public. Plus, these two guys are so cute. You can tell they really love each other, and I think it’s great. 🙂
Well, I am back home again, after spending three nights at my fishing camp with my friend and his nephew. We had spectacular weather, and while the fishing wasn’t that great, I thoroughly enjoyed myself. The three of us shared our evening meals each night and the food was super-tasty. I got some work done up there that was badly needed, and now my cabin is looking great. 🙂
Oh, and how about this photo to the left? Do you think they’re in love? Of course they are. 🙂
I got home around noon, and after a quick shower I joined a friend at his house to watch the Florida Gators demolish University of Michigan in the Peach Bowl. What a great victory and a fine end-of-the-season chapter for UF, especially considering how lousy last season was.
It’s a warm and quiet night, here on the island, and I don’t have much planned. I have already unpacked everything from my trip and put things away, so I can relax. I will probably watch some more football after dinner, and go to bed early. My trip was awfully fun, but physically taxing since I had to do everything myself. 🙁
Tomorrow morning, around eight AM, I will drive 80 miles north of here to visit my fishing camp. It is located within a national wildlife preserve, where a river flows into the Gulf of Mexico.
I have to leave early because water levels in the river are quite low at this time of year, so I must depart the marina where I keep my boat when the tide is highest. My Element is already packed for the trip, save for the ice coolers.
I won’t have Internet access for purposes of posting on this blog, so you won’t hear from me again until Saturday afternoon, when I return. Once again, Merry Christmas everyone. 🙂
Do you like the Christmas card I’m posting here this morning? As a tropical island dweller, I think it’s close to perfect, so I hope you’ll all enjoy it.
I am single and I live alone, but I’m not the least bit lonely this Christmas season. I put up a live tree, decorated my fireplace mantel, put up my exterior lights, and baked Christmas cookies for my neighbors. I’ve attended several holiday gatherings in my neighborhood, and last night I enjoyed a very nice evening at a friend’s home where six of us gathered for Christmas Eve dinner. I brought wine and a fresh asparagus dish that turned out really well. The wine flowed and the food was excellent. The weather was so nice our host had the windows open. I got home around nine PM, and I spent an hour or so in my living room, listening to Christmas music and enjoying my beautiful Christmas tree.
Oh, it wouldn’t be Christmas without me posting one of my favorite Tom Daley photos, one where Tom’s getting his Christmas spirit on. Tom, you’re such a cutie. How I’d love to snuggle with you on my sofa this morning. 😉
For some reason, I slept in late this morning, so now I’m enjoying a cup of coffee while I write these words. Outside, the sun is shining and it’s around 72 degrees F. Best of all, no wind is blowing. What perfect Christmas weather. 🙂
Tomorrow morning, I depart quite early, for a three-day stay at my fishing camp, about 80 miles north of here. One of my oldest friends will be up there with his nephew. We’ll do some fishing and certainly some drinking, and we’ll enjoy this beautiful winter weather. At this time of year, the water level in the river can be rather low, so I have to time my arrival at the marina to take advantage of high tide. So, I will pack up my Honda Element this afternoon, so I can leave quickly tomorrow morning.
Around five PM today, I’ll drive into the city with wine, garlic bread and a casserole I will prepare later today. I’ll spend the evening with my oldest friend, who is making an elegant salad, and I think we’ll be hosting a few friends. It should be a fun evening, with a fire blazing in the fire pit, and ideal weather conditions. Of course, we’ll have holiday music playing on the outdoor sound system, so things will be festive.
All right, everyone, I need to get busy, so I will wish each of you a very Merry Christmas. I hope you will spend yours with loved ones and friends, they are the greatest gift we have in life. And keep smiling, it’s important.
I can’t recall the last time someone gave me flowers. But I wish one the guys in today’s photo posts would come by my house with a bouquet. I might never let him leave. 😉
I built another blaze in my fire pit last night, and it sure was nice, sitting out there and enjoying the flames and the beautiful December weather. I traded instant messages with a young man in Brazil who I’ve been corresponding with for about a month. He’s such a sweetie.
After the fire died, I came inside and prepared my dinner–a salad and leftover Greek spaghetti–and I tried to watch Sunday Night Football but couldn’t get interested in the game. So, I put on some Christmas music and edited sections of my novel-in-progress that I recently wrote. Then, around ten PM, I went to bed and read for an hour before going to sleep.
I was up early this morning, and very quickly got busy writing fresh material for my novel. I wrote for 2-1/2 hours, and now I am done for the day. As soon as I finish this post, I’ll have a quick lunch, and then I will take a three-mile walk on the beach for some exercise and mental relaxation. It’s beautiful outside, about 70 degrees F, sunny, dry and still.
I’m attending a Christmas Eve dinner party tonight with friends from my neighborhood, and I am really looking forward to the evening. My contribution will be wine and a fresh asparagus dish that should be tasty.
Have a nice Christmas Eve, everyone. Who knows, maybe someone will bring you flowers today. 🙂
In keeping today’s photos theme, I’m putting up another “slender guy” photo this evening. All right, this boy is super-skinny, but I still find him attractive, especially since he’s not wearing a stitch. 😉 I wonder what he’s looking at through that window? Probably some guy in his neighborhood he’s hot for.
It’s been a peaceful day, here on the island. I took a three-mile walk around one PM, which was simply wonderful because the weather was so nice. I started out in a sweater, but soon shed that and did most of the walk in a t-shirt. The sun shone and there was no wind, and I would guess the temperature was around 72 degrees F. Perfect …. 🙂
After my walk, I ran one final errand, to pick up some firewood and a box of fake logs from the supermarket, which was surprisingly empty of patrons. I spent a little time watching football, and now it’s five PM. I’m going to build another blaze in my fire pit tonight, because it’s too damned pretty outside to stay indoors. I’ll listen to my Bluetooth cube and enjoy tending the flames.
Hi, friends and readers:All us gay guys have a thing for men with muscle, and that’s fine. But I also have a taste for slender guys, as long as they have broad shoulders and a nice round butt. I mean, would you pass up a few hours in the back seat of a car with the guy in the top photo here? Of course you wouldn’t. Not only is he slender, but he has great hair and skin, and I like the way he’s showing off the waistband of his boxer shorts, as if to say, “Want to get inside these, daddy?”
I spent a nice couple of hours last night with a neighbor and friend, sitting around a blaze I built in my fire pit and listening to music on my Bluetooth speaker. The evening was cool and still, and I got a good fire going. After my friend left, I warmed up leftovers and watched an NFL game for a bit. Then I sipped a little wine by my fireplace before retiring and reading in bed.
It’s a beautiful day, here on the island, cool, sunny and still. Right after I finish this post, I plan to take a three-mile walk to enjoy the pleasant weather. Then I need to visit our island’s Italian bakery to buy bread for the Christmas dinner I’m putting together with friends. I don’t really have any plans for my evening, but that’s okay.
All right, everyone, I need to put on my walking shoes and get out the front door. Have a great Sunday, wherever you are today, and keep smiling, it’s important.
