I’m a huge fan of black-and-white photography, so at least once a week I try to put up some of my favorites for your viewing pleasure.
See the young man to the left here? About 12 years ago, I rented a flat in Berlin, Germany for the summer months. During my stay there, I met a young man who lived with me for two weeks. He looked pretty much like Mr. Shirtless to the left and, believe me, those two weeks were pretty amazing. I wonder where my friend is today?
I was up around eight this morning, after spending a pleasant evening in the city with one of my oldest friends. We drank a few beers and caught up on each other’s lives before getting takeout for our dinner. I was home by 9:30 PM and wasn’t up too late, as I’m still recovering from jet lag from my Eurotrip.
Here’s another favorite black-and-white. He looks exactly like Tyler, a character in my short story titled Fuck Me…Please. It appears in my anthology titled Sebastian Inlet. Here’s how the narrator, Forrest, describes Tyler’s appearance:
“He was my age, probably five-ten, maybe one hundred and fifty
pounds. He had what I call “pretty boy” features: a turned up nose, dick-sucking lips, and craggy cheekbones. His eyelashes were long, like a girl’s. When he blinked, it was hard not to notice. His hair was dark, cut short on the sides, a bit of length on top.”
Sebastian Inlet can be purchased from Amazon. You can click on the book’s cover in the sidebar to the right on this page, and you’ll be directed to the Amazon site where the book’s available.
I have an easy Friday ahead of me. I spent most of my morning writing fresh material for my novel-in-progress, which is now at 42,000 words, and nowhere near its end. I hadn’t done any fresh writing since leaving for Europe in early August, and it felt good to have my creative juices flowing again.
Right after lunch I will drive into the city to visit the YMCA for a workout and lap-swimming. I have no plans for my evening yet, but hope to spend it with a friend, drinking wine on my deck and maybe grabbing a burger down the street.
Have a great Friday, everyone.
